What I do

I am passionate about celebrating each individual’s strengths and capabilities. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children with communication difficulties, I am committed to enhancing their well-being and promoting their independence. I strongly believe that every child deserves access to high-quality speech pathology services, regardless of their location.

Being a mobile service, it provides flexibility, allowing me to reach children in their familiar and comfortable environments. By conducting assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, and providing therapy sessions in the child's school, home or via telehealth, your child can receive the support they need to thrive.

Accessing therapy supports is a journey, it is not one size suits all or a wave of a magic wand. I work with you and your child to promote wellness, with an emphasis in holistic approaches by taking into consideration not only your child's communication goals but also their overall physical, emotional, and social well-being. This includes working hand in hand with you and your child, their educators and other health professionals, sharing valuable strategies to empower change through active participation in therapy and their success.

I believe that by promoting wellness, nurturing independence, celebrating uniqueness and working together, we can unlock their full potential. Join me in this transformative journey towards a brighter future for children with communication needs.

How it works

  • 1. Get in touch

Please fill in the details on the contact form so I know how I may be able to assist you.

I will touch base with you to organise a time to have a 10 minute complimentary phone call to discuss your concerns.

If we agree I can provide the help you need, I will then send you some forms to complete before our intake appointment.

  • 2. Intake appointment (caregivers)

I meet with you (caregiver/s only) to further discuss the information you shared with me on the initial phone call, as well as the completed case history forms shared with you (sent after initial phone call).

This meeting (in person or via Telehealth) aims to allow you to freely share your concerns with me without having your child overhearing, as I recognise the challenges this may cause.

We then develop a plan together for the initial appointment.

  • 3. Initial appointment

I get to meet you AND your child!

The aim of the first appointment is to get to know your child, understand their environment, build trust and complete any assessments required.

At the end of this appointment, we will discuss my findings and recommendations moving forward.

An optional in-depth assessment report provides details on the outcomes of the assessment, my recommendations and some strategies to help your child at school. This report is recommended so you are able to share the results with your child’s team.

  • 4. Therapy

Together we will develop individualised goals based off of you and your child’s priorities. We will then work together to implement evidence based practice strategies to achieve these goals, with myself coaching you along the way.

The goals will be reviewed regularly to ensure they continue to be appropriate and we are making steps to achieve them.

Therapy is provided in blocks. The intensity and number of sessions in these blocks will likely be different for each person. We will discuss this together and set a review date.

  • 5. Review

At the end of the block of therapy, we will review your child’s progress, priorities and the overall therapy plan. Your child will hopefully have made some great progress and their goals can be ticked off. Yay!

If not, we can adapt your child’s goals and re-evaluate yours and your child’s priorities to create new goals to aim for in the next block of therapy.
